Must-have coverage for property insurance: setting aside illegal activities

As a property owner, you have different insurance needs than an owner-user. Chances are you are not present in all properties on a daily basis to monitor activities. But standard insurance solutions often don't take this into account.

Large claim burden

For example, in recent years we have seen an increase in the number of building tenant fires due to illegal hemp nurseries. An (illegal) hemp farm requires a lot of energy for cultivation. Usually the energy is tapped illegally and we see fires as a result of short circuits happen regularly.

Compensation for damages

When such damage occurs, the insurer is not always obliged to reimburse the property owner for the damage. We understand that it is not possible to monitor the actual use of all properties on a daily basis. Therefore, it is still possible for property owners to cover damages caused by illegal activities.
